Banner Contest! 8D

Hello everyone! 8D
See the banners way up on the site? The ones that randomly change? Yes, those!
Aren't they absolutely BEAUTIFUL? > w<.

Yes, they are really nice, but... They don't match the theme of the site.
When there's something that's, say, blue, sitting right on top of a red navigation bar, it looks pretty... unorganized.
THEREFORE, we're going to host another banner contest. :'D


Here's are some guidelines for your banner:
Try to make it clean, simple, but really pretty nonetheless.
Width: 950px, height: 150px.
Your color palette is the following. You are not obliged to use all of these colors, but try to incorporate at least some of them for your main theme. Feel free to use anything other then these too, just make sure it looks nice:

Of course, try to remember that there's a part that says "Hello ________. You have __ messages, __ are new... (etc.)" and the search bar. You have to make sure that they're going to be visible, WITHOUT the weird black background we have right now. You can make your own box, of course, but make it pretty. :3

How will the contest be ran, you ask?
Well, this is just the first round. On May 30th, I will choose 10 banners to move on to the second round (I will be choosing based on everyone's reaction to them, and how well it fits in with the site). You are allowed to submit as many banners as you want, but a maximum of 3 of your banners can move on to the second round. The second round will be a poll running the week of May 31st, and everyone is going to vote their favorites. Top 5 banners will be used.

Some small notes:
In case some of you don't know, Bakana means "Impossible".
Try to make your entries different. Variety is good!

I'm trying to make my own entry right now. = w=;;;. [/isn't very good with graphics].
Though I'm really looking forward to Danaya and Mosaicera's entries, I heard that they make pretty banners. And then there's all the people who I've never seen designing anything before, so my hopes lie there too. :'D

heres my critique
i believe the first one is better because its cleaner and easier to read, with the second one the script and grudge takes away from the title "bakana haven impossible to reach" you know? just too many things jumping for your attention with the bold colours and 2 characters as well as the grudge/script and title. Just about every inch has something in it where as the first doesn't and has good negative space and allows your eye to freely navigate through it.
